One of the best places I've stayed in in NZ. Hosts were so lovely, and my room (no.2) was cute, comfortable, and had... everything I needed. Will happily come back again.... And it's only a few minutes walk into the main Street.read more

We had three family groups staying in three units. All units were spacious, warm and very clean. There’s a drying room... for snow gear and the location really couldn’t be much better. So easy to walk to the lake shops and cafes.The owner Pip is lovely and gave us some wonderful recommendations on things to do and visit - we had the best day in and around Wanaka.read more

Great location, walking distance to restaurants and bars in Wanaka. Cabins aren't huge but well priced and with a large... drying room for your snow gear. Pip was a great host and gave us card games, tips for local restaurants and lended us umbrellas when it rained.read more

We were a party of two adults and three kids and stayed in the three-bedroom unit for nearly two weeks for a skiing... vacation. The unit was clean and well presented. The cooking facilities were fine. We made good use of the drying room for ski gear and the laundry. Pip is a great manager and keen to provide tips for eating out and sightseeing. All in all, an excellent value motel.read more

Had an awesome 5 days at this motel over a busy Easter weekend . It’s in a superb location to central Wanaka and the... shops and restaurants . Pip our host was extremely helpful and even ran us to a couple of places to help out and loaned us their family bikes! Room was very comfortable and bathroom was excellent . It was amazing. It had perfect heating, perfect price to value, a TV with Netflix running perfectly. It was located in... close proximity to supermarkets, restaurants and many other conveniences. It was also relatively close to the ski stations making it extremely convenient for transportation and the ski room itself was majestic.read more

Wow, you could not ask for a better spot. Gorgeous view of the mountains and lake front right from the motel, and an... easy quick 2-5 minute walk to the Main Street of Wanaka. Easy parking too makes it a breeze for parking the truck after a day up the mountain. Clean, cosy and great value would recommend.read more

Upon reading other reviews and our own experience i’ve realised that if you are not white they will make your booking... an absolute nightmare to deal with if you run into any problems. We literally got cursed at by the owner :)read more

This was my second time staying in Wanaka and I really wished I'd stayed here the first time. It's a 2 minute walk to... town and same to the lake.Arrangements were made for my late check in and the room was beautifully presented and extremely clean with all appropriate cooking items and utensils. The bed was so comfy and the shower nice and hot. The use of the bikes was also a great perk. I couldn't have asked for a more accommodating host and thoroughly recommend Wanaka View Motel. Next time I come to Wanaka I will definitely be a returning customer. Thanks again :)read more

The receptionist was extremely nice! We are here on holiday from the US and booked our engagement photos around Wanaka... Lake. The stay here was fantastic. Good water with good water pressure in the shower. Private bathroom, comfortable bed. It was perfect place with an outstanding view. This was the best stay we've had since we flew over a week ago. There is a small kitchen area with a stove to cook which we used and worked fantastic. Heating system was nice and large hot water heater with plenty of hot water for a nice shower. Big beautiful windows with a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains. The room was ready for us before we expected which really made our stay enjoyable as we had plenty of time to get ready for our photos. Would recommend to anyone staying in Wanaka. When we come back on holiday, this will definitely be where we stay again.read more
